I’m a freelance graphic and web designer based in Narooma on the NSW South Coast, with over 20 years of industry experience.
I’m a freelance graphic and web designer based in Narooma on the NSW South Coast, with over 20 years of experience creating thoughtful, engaging design for businesses and organisations. I love working closely with clients to understand their business, their audience and what makes them unique, then turning those ideas into creative solutions that look great and work hard for their business.
With a Diploma of Graphic Design from St George TAFE, my career has taken me across Australia and around the world. I’ve worked in design agencies managing large portfolios of major Australian brands, as well as for printers, sign writers and as a finished artist, giving me a strong understanding of the entire design and production process from concept through to final print.
One of my most significant roles was working as the graphic designer for Camera House, where I managed the brand’s graphics across its online presence and more than 75 stores throughout Australia. I’ve also worked with snowmobile companies and ski resorts in Canada, bringing together my love of design, illustration and the snow industry.
My career has given me a broad and varied design background, from large corporate brands and national retail campaigns to local businesses, signage, print production and digital design. That experience means I understand that good design isn’t just about making something look great. It needs to work for the business, communicate clearly and connect with the people it is trying to reach.
After moving back to Narooma where I grew up with our young family, I’ve been freelancing for more than eight years, working with clients locally, interstate and across a diverse range of industries. I work with businesses in construction, tourism, hospitality, allied health, professional services, childcare, sport and community organisations, as well as individual entrepreneurs and emerging brands.
BRANDING, WEB DESIGN + ILLUSTRATION
My work spans business branding, logo design, graphic design, web design and custom illustration. I love bringing all the pieces together to create a cohesive visual identity, whether that means developing a brand from scratch, refreshing an existing website or creating the perfect combination of print, digital, signage and marketing materials.
Illustration has always been a big part of my creative practice. I was honoured to exhibit my artwork at the World Ski and Snowboard Festival in Whistler, BC, and have artwork permanently displayed at Rhythm Snowsports in Cooma. I also won the Dragon Goggles and Transfer Snowboard Magazine goggle design competition for South East Asia which lead into designing graphics for snowboards, wakeboards and surfboards.
I’m passionate about good design and even more passionate about seeing what it can do for a business. I love working with businesses to create the best possible creative outcome for their brand, whether you’re starting something new, ready for a refresh or simply have an idea you want to bring to life.
